Making a Difference Through Dialogue
Fees
Institutional teams may participate in one or both of the capacity building tracks of the institute. The Summer Institute is made possible through the generous support of the Ford Foundation Difficult Dialogues Initiative. As a result, the Summer Institute is being offered at no charge for participating institutions (valued at approximately $7500 per institution). Each institution will cover the costs of transportation, lodging, and some meals for their team. As the host school, MU will cover lunches, coffee hours, a formal banquet on Friday night, dinner on Sunday night, breakfast on Monday morning, tuition and materials. Free time on Saturday evening will allow participants to explore Columbia’s booming restaurant scene. Breakfast will be on your own Friday-Sunday.
An informal reception will be held 7:00-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, in the Vinca Room at the Hilton Garden Inn. The Institute faculty will be available to meet and greet you with wine and hor d’oeuvres. Attendance is optional.
A block of rooms has been reserved for Institute participants at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia, Missouri. The reservation is being held under the Chancellor’s Diversity Initiative. Rooms must be reserved by May 11 in order to receive the University’s contracted rate. The conference will also be held at the Hilton Garden Inn.
